WHO WE ARE: Byron UMC is a loving church family, and we hope you will join us for worship on Sunday at 8:45am or 11:00am!  We are a church that is large enough to offer a great variety of programs and activities for all ages, but small enough where each person is “part of the family.”

WHY WE ARE HERE: We are here to follow Jesus Christ. We really believe that following Jesus is the best possible kind of life here on earth, and we want to warmly invite anyone to check out Jesus and what He has to offer. Because Jesus is our Lord, at Byron we stay busy trying to make our world a more Christ-like, loving place.

WE ARE NOT HERE to judge you or anyone. We are all broken people in one way or another. We believe that all people, ALL PEOPLE matter to God, and we believe that God loves to help broken people find a better way to live. We’re serious about this – no matter how messed up you think you may be, we have people at Byron who have struggled just as much, and some still do! We are here to help.

WE BELIEVE in God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We more than “believe” in God. We love God. He has done for us what we could never have done for ourselves. Do we always love others the way God loves us? No, but we are trying to become more like Jesus every day, with the help of the Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE the Bible is God’s Word. At BUMC we take the Bible seriously and seek to live in light of what it says. But if you have doubts or questions, we are not here to beat you over the head with it. We are all growing together around the Word of God, and we would love for you to bring your questions as we explore God’s Truth together.

WE BELIEVE IN YOU!

If you are still breathing then your life isn’t over yet! We really believe God has a plan for your life, and that your best days are ahead of you. We believe life is so much more fun when you have a church family to share it with. We love each other, encourage each other, laugh with one another, and cry with one another. We are not a perfect church, but we just might be perfect for you. Hope to see you soon!
